I just moved here from Florida and I'm trying to find a job. I got on Uber to try to learn my way around. I picked up an order from Lowe's . Harrison was absolutely wonderful . He made me feel seen and he made me feel like I mattered . He listened to my story with such compassion and understanding . I'm only 5'1 and the package I was picking up to deliver was extremely large and he was able to bring it to my car for me . He's a smart intelligent young man and he made my day . It's not easy starting in a new town especially when you're trying to find work . I didn't even get a tip from the person I delivered this heavy box to; the box was up to my waist and as wide as me. Because I'm learning my way around it took me 50 minutes to get to this person's house and I only made $5.70. But I kept thinking of how nice Harrison was to me and that I got to meet him and make a connection and now I know that when I go to Lowe's as an Uber driver I will be supported by the staff. Harrison thank you so much for your kindness. You made my day after such a hard day.

So generally speaking, LOWES is great. It has a lot of things I need without sending me out to Home Depot or Menards. What it has that I don’t need is hired solicitors…Not sure if these are LOWES employees because they have the ability to offer help if you’re looking for something but their primary focus is to sell your solar. That’s right, they seek to help you & then bust out the solar speech. Super bizarre strategy for LOWES to allow blatant solicitation within the store. My thought is that the solar company is giving LOWES some sort of incentive but just be careful who you accept help from. They wear blue vests.

Lowes will always be my go to spot for just about everything. I started out with Lowes as a new homeowner some 25 years ago and I have been going there since. 7th home purchased and all but two were remodeled with Lowe's products and tools. The only reason all 7 weren't done with Lowe's products is that two were brand new and they did get Lowe's appliances and Lowe's paint when updated, not Lowe's brand, just purchased through Lowes. Lowe's could carry a better high end power tool than DeWalt as DeWalt has really gone downhill over the last several years. I own every darn power tool that DeWalt has ever put out in 18v and 20v XR Brushless but if they don't step up again this will be it and we will be parting ways. Aside from that I am a Lowe's fan. Don't get me started about the guys behind the Pro desk because I think a whole lot about a few of them and yes Tracy I am talking about you. Here's a couple remodels and whole lot of money invested in the DeWalt Corp.but you get the idea.

We go to the the Lowe’s store on Big Hollow in Peoria regularly when we have a project, large or small. Sometimes we have to wait a bit for assistance, but never long. Their paint dept is stellar! We met Teri in Paints today and she was so very helpful! We decided on a door color with her help as well as a kitchen color. She didn’t help us decide on the color, but helped us with our decision and we are so happy! Door tonight, kitchen tomorrow!
